Unrealistic timelines, unsafe conditions, disappointed expectations—or worse, dangerous situations in the mountains.
True expertise is not about claiming a title. It’s about humility, respect, and a willingness to keep learning from the land. Even after years of living here, I still don’t call myself an “expert”—because the mountains and fjords always remind me to stay humble.
