Intimate Wedding Weekend at Manshausen, Norway
Hey there!
I’ve got to tell you about this incredible intimate wedding I recently had the privilege of photographing. It was on this stunning little island off the coast of Northern Norway called Manshausen. Let me just say, it was a truly intimate and exclusive affair, unlike any wedding I’ve ever seen before. So sit back and enjoy this beautiful day!
The festivities for the wedding weekend commenced on the eve of the wedding with a dinner inspired by Moroccan culture. During this event, the bride-to-be delighted her soon-to-be husband by presenting him with traditional Moroccan attire.
Now, if there’s one word I could use to describe this wedding, it would be “personal”. Everything about it this wedding weekend was tailored to the couple’s unique style and personalities. From the decorations to the personalized vows, it all felt so authentic and heartfelt. I truly believe that this attention to detail is what made this wedding weekend so incredibly special.
The island Manshausen in Norway itself is absolutely breathtaking. Surrounded by crystal clear waters and jaw-dropping views, it felt like we were in our own little paradise. And the fact that this wedding was held there made it all the more special. It was like this secret haven tucked away from the world, creating an incredibly intimate atmosphere.
After getting ready and a heartfelt first-look, that the couple wants to keep private, it was time for the ceremony on the beach. And to say that we were lucky with the weather is an understatement. And every single detail, from the amazing florals to the beautiful gown, was filled with love, heart and soul.
After the ceremony and some food, it was time for the couple to go out on their own little adventure, and since we were on an island, what better way then to go out in a boat.
After our little adventure it was time for the reception to begin.
“We were blessed to have Maria from Born Wild Photography as our wedding photographer on August 12, 2023, at the breathtaking Manshausen Island in Leinesfjord, Norway. From the start, Maria’s dedication and professionalism stood out, especially during a challenging time when Claire’s father had a life-changing injury. Her patience and understanding throughout our planning process gave us immense comfort.
The photos speak volumes of Maria’s skill and keen eye for capturing emotions. The tear-filled first look between Claire and her father and him walking her down the aisle, which was an uncertain moment due to his expected condition, was captured with such poignancy and tenderness. Every moment, from Claire and Badr’s intimate first look to their vows against the backdrop of the majestic Manshausen, and our adventures on a boat and hiking, Maria encapsulated them with finesse. Each shot from our list was not just met, but surpassed our expectations.
One thing that stands out is how Maria made us feel on our special day. Badr, who’s generally camera-shy, was made to feel at ease. Her intuitive nature helped gauge his comfort levels, ensuring that every shot felt natural and unforced. To say the delivered photos are stunning would be an understatement. Our friends and family have been in awe of the moments she’s captured.
In conclusion, our experience with Maria was a solid 10/10. If you’re looking for a photographer who can capture the raw emotions, beauty, and essence of a small, intimate wedding, we wholeheartedly recommend Maria from Born Wild Photography. She’s not just a photographer but a storyteller who immortalizes memories.”
With immense love and gratitude, Claire and Badr <3
All in all, this wedding on Manshausen Island was an unforgettable experience. From the intimate setting to the personal touches, it was a celebration of love that I’m grateful to have been a part of. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do and why I believe in the power of photography to capture and preserve these meaningful moments forever.
